1. Download the app for the cruise line you are sailing.
2. Follow the cruise line on the social media platforms you use.
3. Join the Facebook Group for your sail date.
4. Always travel the day before your cruise at a minimum; at least two days prior if departing from an international port.
5. If you are concerned about seasickness during your cruise, there are several options available:
a. Try to book a cabin in the middle of the ship where you feel less movement.
b. Bonine is a lower dose version of Drammamine and is available over the counter and on Amazon.
c. Seabands or Reliefbands are wearable wristbands that help combat nausea and are available over the counter and on Amazon.
d. Patches that go behind the ear are also an option. There are over the counter versions available at your local drug store or Amazon. Your doctor can also prescribe.
6. Some of the more popular excursions tend to sell out. Once you’ve made a decision on which excursion you want, go ahead and book it in advance.
7. If you are going to any beaches at your ports of call, purchase biodegradable / reef safe sunscreen. Many island nations, Mexico and Hawaii require biodegradable sunscreen to protect the reefs. There are several brands that offer biodegradable sunscreen. These can be purchased at beauty retailers like Ulta or Sephora, your local Walmart, or Amazon.
